The 3D viewer and the silk editor at HorseRacingPark.com require java client version 1.5.0 (also known as version 5) or greater. To install the latest java client from Sun Microsystems go to https://java.com/en/download/index.jsp. This is a free download.
Common Issues
Q: I am getting the error "More than one certificate used to sign resource." What do I do?
A: This error message is caused by 1 of 2 things. Either the newest java version has not been installed or it has been
installed but it is not launching properly. To install the latest version go to the address listed above. If the latest version
is installed you will need to uninstall all instances of the java client and reinstall the newest only. For windows, click on
start->control panel->add/remove programs and remove all references to java. Then install the newest version at the site above.
Q: When I try to launch the program a box pops up requesting what application should be used. What do I do?
A: Again, you will need to uninstall all instances of the java client and reinstall the newest only. For windows, click on
start->control panel->add/remove programs and remove all references to java. Then install the newest version at the site above. Performing these steps
will correct a large percentage of the issues encountered.
Q: I am getting an error during the installation of the java client. What can I do?
A: We have found that downloading the offline version of the java client and installing it will sometimes work when the online version does not. To download the offline version go to https://jdl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=10279. A box
should popup when you go to this web address. You can either click to save the offline client to your computer and then run it when it finishes downloading or you can click run or open (depending on your operating system) and this will run the install immediately after the download.
